Who runs this site. Enacted is published by Swapp Technologies LLC, a Maryland limited liability company. It is not a government site and is not affiliated with any county, city, district, utility or agency whose records it reports.
What Enacted is. Enacted records what changed in enacted local land-use law and in published public water quality measurements for jurisdictions in Maryland, the District of Columbia and Northern Virginia. Every record quotes a primary government source, links to it, and shows the date and hash of the copy Enacted fetched.
What Enacted is not. Enacted records the enacted law. It does not advise, approve, determine, or certify anything. Nothing on this site is legal advice, and reading it or subscribing to a feed does not create an attorney-client relationship with anyone. Enacted is not the official record: the government source it cites controls, and a record may have been amended, superseded or corrected since Enacted fetched it. Anyone making a decision that depends on a rule should read the cited source and, where appropriate, consult a licensed professional in that jurisdiction.
Using the site and feeds. You may read, link to, quote and subscribe to the pages and feeds. The quoted government text is public record. The Enacted name, mark, mascot, page design and record format belong to Swapp Technologies LLC. Do not present Enacted, or material taken from it, as an official government publication.
No warranty. The site and feeds are provided as they are. Swapp Technologies LLC does not warrant that they are complete, current or free of errors, and, to the extent the law allows, is not liable for loss arising from reliance on them. If you find an error, the fastest fix is to tell us where the cited source and the record disagree.
Accounts. The site has no accounts today. Before paid tiers or accounts open, these terms will be replaced by a full version that covers them.
