Privacy Notice
Reading the site. Enacted has no accounts, sets no cookies of its own, and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Pages and feeds are static files served from Cloudflare's network; like any web host, Cloudflare keeps ordinary server logs (such as the requesting address and browser type) under its own privacy policy. Enacted sees only aggregate counts — how many requests a page or feed received — never a log about you.
Your browser only. The coverage page remembers the areas, topics and event types you picked so they are still selected when you return. That preference is stored in your own browser and is never sent to Enacted.
Feeds. Subscribing to an Atom or JSON feed fetches a static file from the same hosts. Enacted keeps no subscriber list for the free feeds.
Coverage requests. When you send a coverage request, or ask to be told when accounts open, Enacted stores the jurisdiction, topic and description you typed (or the jurisdiction you were following), the email address if you gave one, whether you asked to hear when accounts open, the time, the version of the notice you agreed to, and whether the bot check passed. Your network address is not stored; a salted hash of it is kept for one hour to limit repeat submissions, then expires. The bot check is Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs under Cloudflare's privacy policy. An email address you give is used only for what you asked: once to tell you when the requested coverage is added, and once to tell you when accounts open if you asked for that. It is used for nothing else. Requests are kept while they are open and deleted once they are resolved or withdrawn; an accounts-open request is deleted after that one email is sent. To withdraw a request, contact us as below.
Links to other sites. Records link to the government sources they quote, and the Social page links to third-party platforms. Those sites have their own privacy practices.
Children. The site is not directed to children under 13 and knowingly collects nothing from them.
Changes. This is an interim notice for a site with no accounts. A full notice will replace it before accounts open, and the date at the top will change when it does.
